Torchia Communications announces Dialogue and Grace

Torchia Communications launches Dialogue and Grace,
a division devoted to bridge-building through Public Relations within the Catholic Church and its stakeholders

Toronto, Ont., June 8, 2016 – Torchia Communications, a multilingual independent Public Relations agency with deep roots in North America and global experience, has launched a new division that will focus on providing strategic Communications counsel and Public Relations services to organizations, companies and institutions linked to the Catholic Church in the United States and Canada. The division, Dialogue and Grace, is the result of a lengthy period of discernment on the state of the often misunderstood profession in the Catholic Church and faith sectors across the continent.

“We’ve worked with Catholic organizations since 2008,” said Daniel Torchia, founding partner of Dialogue and Grace and Managing Director at Torchia Communications. “Throughout this time, we’ve seen a recurring interest and voracious appetite from Catholic groups for new forms of dialogue and best practices in institutional communications.”

As the division launches, Dialogue and Grace’s current clients include the Canadian branch of Catholic Near East Welfare Association, a papal agency, the Knights of Columbus, based in New Haven, Conn., Development and Peace – Caritas Canada and University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto. The website is www.dialogueandgrace.com.

The name incorporates the word ‘dialogue’ as this is the basis of true symmetrical communication in PR theory and ‘grace’ as one of the most familiar expressions for God’s love for humanity. Dialogue and Grace counts on a team of consultants located in both Canada and the U.S. and is available to build entire Public Relations plans, from scratch, or to jump in to help enhance existing efforts – from a planning and strategy perspective or with hands-on technical services.

“We’ve been considering a separate division for quite some time and feel it’s the best way through which we can help meet the need that exists,” adds Torchia. “In so doing, we are making a commitment to walk with all interested Catholic groups and organizations in their development in Public Relations and Organizational Communications – not just through moments of crises, but through the process of sowing new seeds of communication for the long haul.”
